How detailed should feature descriptions be?

Detailed enough that a rep can explain it in 30 seconds without reading documentation. "Supports SAML-based SSO" is clear. "SSO available" is too vague — does it support SAML, OAuth, or something proprietary? "Robust security features" is marketing speak, not a comparable dimension. Aim for one-sentence descriptions that include the specific implementation or capability level.

Should I share feature comparisons publicly on my website?

Most organizations keep feature comparisons internal for sales enablement and product planning. Publishing them publicly invites competitor disputes and dates your content quickly.
